Before founding the Firm in 2005, Steven B. Copeland, was a partner with the Los Angeles based Monteleone & McCrory, LLP.
Mr. Copeland has spent 24-years advising business clients and is a seasoned litigator in complex construction contract disputes, representing general contractors, subcontractors and owners. Mr. Copeland has also successfully represented his clients in employment law disputes, insurance coverage disputes, and a multitude of business disputes.
His construction knowledge includes all aspects of grading and excavation, asphalt and concrete paving, tunneling, shoring, ground freezing, installation of pipe-lines, dams, reservoirs, bridges, pump stations, water treatment facilities, electrical, plumbing, roofing and many other trades. With this knowledge, he has guided many corporations through their business decisions and helped salvage projects from protracted disputes.
Mr. Copeland has handled well over $1 billion in projects through his career, with individual projects up to $150 million. Mr. Copeland has recovered hundreds of millions in money owed his construction contracting clients through negotation, mediation, arbitration and trials. He has obtained numerous multi-million dollar judgments in his career.

Mr. Copeland is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and has been admitted to practice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as all California State and Federal Courts.
Mr. Copeland received his bachelor of arts degree with honors from Cornell University in 1993. He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Southern California in 1996.
